Commercial Supply Agreement & Standards
Terms of Supply
Commercial terms, quality guarantees, delivery policies, and metallurgical tolerances governing B2B precision forging contracts at Jayesh Forge.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 • Governed by Rajkot Jurisdiction, Gujarat, India
1. Quotations, Orders & Scope of Supply
- All commercial quotations submitted by Jayesh Forge are valid for 30 calendar days unless explicitly stated otherwise due to raw material volatility in steel billet prices.
- Purchase Orders (PO) submitted by buyers become binding contracts upon written order confirmation issued by Jayesh Forge sales engineering department.
- Any modification to dimensional drawings, material specifications (e.g., switching from SS 304 to SS 316L), or NDT testing parameters after PO issuance will be subject to a formal Engineering Change Order (ECO) with revised cost and delivery timelines.
2. Metallurgical & Dimensional Tolerances
- Forging dimensional tolerances strictly adhere to DIN EN 10243-1 (for closed-die forgings) and ASTM A105 / ASME B16.5 standards (for flanges & rings) unless custom drawing tolerances are pre-approved.
- Machining allowances for rough forged blanks are provided at +2.0mm to +4.0mm per side to accommodate finish turning at the customer's machine shop.
- Weight tolerances for raw forging billets and finished machined components are maintained within ±3% to ±5% of theoretical CAD nominal weight.
3. Quality Assurance & Material Certification
- Every dispatch includes an EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate (MTC) detailing raw heat chemistry (SPECTRO analysis), tensile strength, yield stress, elongation, hardness (HB/HRC), and Charpy V-notch impact values.
- Ultrasonic NDT testing (UT Level II per ASTM A388 / EN 10228-3) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) are conducted 100% in-house prior to dispatch.
- Third-party inspection (TPI) by independent agencies such as Bureau Veritas, TUV, DNV, or Lloyd's Register is welcomed upon prior commercial agreement during quotation.
4. Packaging, Shipping & Delivery
- All finished forged components are treated with high-grade anti-rust rust-preventative oil and shrink-wrapped in heavy-duty polyethylene before seaworthy wooden crate packaging.
- FOB (Free On Board) Mundra/Kandla/Nhava Sheva or Ex-Works Rajkot GIDC delivery terms apply as negotiated in the sales contract.
- Delivery lead times commence from the date of advance payment receipt and final technical drawing approval. Jayesh Forge is not liable for transport delays caused by maritime congestion, customs clearance, or force majeure events.
5. Payment Terms & Commercial Credit
- Standard commercial payment terms for initial domestic and international orders are 30% advance deposit with balance 70% against Letter of Credit (LC at Sight) or Invoice Copy prior to dispatch.
- For pre-vetted OEM partners with revolving supply contracts, net 30 to 60 days commercial credit facilities are extended upon credit rating approval.
- Overdue invoices attract a late settlement penalty of 1.5% per month until full payment is settled.
6. Warranty, Claims & Rejection Process
- Jayesh Forge warrants all supplied forgings against internal manufacturing defects, porosity, or raw material non-conformance for a period of 12 months from the date of dispatch.
- Any dimensional or chemical non-conformance claim must be lodged in writing within 30 days of shipment arrival, accompanied by a formal Quality Discrepancy Report (QDR) and photographic evidence.
- In the rare event of a verified manufacturing defect, Jayesh Forge will either replace the non-conforming items free of charge (Ex-Works) or issue a commercial credit memo. Aggregate liability shall not exceed the original invoice value of the affected parts.
